Hello New Shoes, Byebye them Blues

Hello Sweetpea's
None of you will ever understand how happy it makes me to be on blogger at this moment in time. As you know, I moved house and I love my new little 'back for tea' residence but I don't have internet until the 29th of this month, arrrgh. I'm glad in one way as I have totally unpacked and everything is sorted since I haven't had the computer to distract me but now everything is done I'm kind of bored. Hopefully it will be worth the wait as we decided to get our TV, home phone and internet with SKY instead of Virgin Media who supplied our last apartment. PS-Virgin Media makes me want to claw my own head off, but that's a whole different long story.
So, I've taking refuge in the little flat that sits on top of my boyfriends pub so I can write a post while he's busy working, pulling pints downstairs :)

Anyway, I thought I would do a really quick post to show you my new shoes. Me and the boy went on a 'we need new things for our new house' shopping trip and after browsing our nearly non existent home section in the local Primark I spotted these on the way out. And as a little treat my boy willingly paid 16 english pounds to make me a very happy girl, in return I hoovered his car, fair deal I say.
Nothing makes me happier than new glittery shoes...except maybe having internet before the end of the month...that would also make me very happy.

I'm off now to answer all your comments that have been left while I've been disconnected from the blogging world. Has everybody got they fingers crossed for my give away? If you haven't entered yet there's still time, just click here

Hope to speak soon.

What's on my mind #1

Hello Sweetpea's...
There's lots I want to tell you all about but I sometimes find it hard to tell you guy's as I don't want my beauty related posts to become swamped with things that's going on in my life. So, I thought I would make a post specifically to tell you everything that's on my mind. If you don't really give a crap, that's not a problem I understand and won't hold it against you haha, and I will be back with a beauty related post tonight or tomorrow.

  • I'm finally moving house. We got the keys yesterday and we plan to move everything on Saturday which I'm really excited about. I know a lot of people think moving is really stressful but I love been under pressure and having lots of things to do. I just need to start packing now, which I'll probably leave until last minute and thrown everything randomly into boxes.
  • I'm excited to have room for an actual dressing table. I was planning on making the spare room into a kind of walk in wardrobe/dressing room but after much debate I plan to make it into a guest room. I'm planning on doing a little Vanity tour post when I get all sorted, so look out for that.
  • The weather here in England is driving me crazy. I know I live on the coast of Northern England and what do I expect but I'm not asking for glorious sunshine just a little bit of spring-ish weather so my maxi skirts can come out of hibernation. PLEASE?
  • I'm obsessed with peanut butter at the moment. Peanut butter milkshakes, peanut butter (and banana) flapjacks, peanut butter out the jar, peanut butter in porridge and my brother even made me a cake where he used peanut butter instead of normal butter. I just can't get enough of the stuff I was even tempted to add a jar into my  'April Loves' post but thought it might be going to far.
  • I attended Lush Hair Care Training in Leeds yesterday and it was brilliant. We learnt so much not only about the products but about the structure of the hair, the scalp, how to read hair and different hair types. I think it's brilliant that Lush staff are getting this amount of training, it means we can offer consultations for FREE which would cost a lot of money in a hair salon. We got to apply hair treatments or henna to our partners and wash our hair using Lush hair care range. I may do a little post soon to show you the products that I got 'prescribed' for my hair.
  • As much as I love work, I'm enjoying my two weeks off. It's lovely not having to wake up to an alarm clock and staying in bed when the boy is getting up for work. We are both off next week though, so we'll be able to spend some quality time together, awwwww.
  • I'm enjoying blogging so much I just wish I had time to blog more. I love answering all your comments and questions and appreciate everyone who follows and reads. I think I finally got my blog the way I want it with the background and the banner, well, for now anyway.
  • I'm participating in another blog hop, if you haven't joined in yet you should so. It's a brilliant way of getting your blog out there and finding other amazing blogs and it's completely free.
  • BlogLoveTherapy

I think that's about everything. I'd love to know what you lovely ladies and gents have been up to and let me know if you would like to read more of these posts?

Speak tonight, possibly.

April Loves...

Hello Sweet pea's :)
How is everyone?
I know I'm a bit late but here are my April Favourite's, hope you enjoy.

Lush 9 to 5 cleanser: So I've been slightly lazy with my skin of late so this has been a god send. You slap it on your face, massage it in and remove it with a cotton pad and viola you have clean skin without a trip to the bathroom. It's gentle enough to take eye make up off too, added bonus.
Mark Hill Sexy Straight, Super Straightening Spray: I've been really enjoying blow drying and straightening my hair this month which is strange as I'm more of an au naturale girl when it comes to my hair. Anyway I LOVES this, I spray it on before I blow dry my hair then spray a little bit more before I use my straighteners and it keeps my hair straight and glossy for a good few days without weighing it down. I got this for Christmas but I believe it's available in Boots.
I Love Coconut & Cream Bubble Bath and Shower Creme: I like to keep a back up liquid bubble bath for those hideous times that I run a bath and realise I don't have any bathbombs or bubble bars, I thought this would make a good back up as it was only a few quid (£2.05) from Superdrug but I have actually used this in every bath and every shower since I bought it. I just can't get enough of the scent, it's immense. You only need a little bit to get lots of bubbles in your bath and even less to get a good lather going in your shower. I definately recommend this range, great value for price. Click here to check some more of the 'I Love...' range.
Scandalous Roack Chick Wave Spray: This is going to be slightly contradicting as I just said I've been wearing my hair straight all month BUT for the lazy days where I haven't spent uber long on my hair I've just been spraying this onto damp hair and leaving my hair to dry naturally. It does exactly what it says on the bottle, makes your hair wavy or in my case extra wavy...simples.
Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara: This was my favourite mascara many moons ago when I first started getting into 'real' make up and I never repurchased because there's so many mascara's on the market that I wanted to try. Anyway I saw this in Superdrug for £2 off and I've rekindled my love and promised to repurchase it over and over again for as long as I possibly can. I love the fact that it's not full of false promises it's just a bloody good mascara for length and volume.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer: I'm a bit late on the scene with this one because I just didn't believe a £4 concealer was going to be better than my £13.50 from MAC but I got to give it to all you beauty bloggers, your all right because it's by far the best concealer I've used. Not sure it lasts 16 hours like it claims, at a push I would say 12 hours but even that's good going and so cheap, winner.
Blistex Relief Cream: Everybody needs this. So moisturising, you can actually feel it absorb into your lips unlike other lip balms that just sit on the surface. I get little cuts at the side of my mouth when the weather is cold (which it still is in England, booo) and this is the only thing that I can honestly see results from. It's brilliant to put on before lipstick too.

A few little things I also want to mention...
What do you guy's think of my Creamy Candy bubble bar I made the other night at work, I think it's a masterpiece. I should get a job in the Lush Factory don't you think?

My Thoughts: Skin Goddess

It's no secret I love body butters, the thicker the better for me as my skin edges more on the dry side and I just don't find normal creams and lotions satisfying enough. It's also no secret that Soap and Glory's the Righteous Butter has been a firm favourite of mine for as long as I can remember. The only thing I dislike is the fact it is £10.50 a pop and that's only for 300ml which I get through pretty fast. If I'm strapped for cash, which is normally always the case, I find I can live with out the Righteous stuff making it a nice little treat for when I'm feeling flush.
However, me and the boy did our food shopping at ASDA the other night and we took a wrong turn (whilst looking for fabric softener) and ended up in the toiletries aisle, an aisle I normally bypass as I buy most of my products from Lush where I work. Being the complete toiletries and beauty junkie I am I couldn't resist a quick sniff of a few things and nearly exploded with happiness when I found this little baby.

Say hello to my new friend...Ella and Rose's Skin Goddess which is a Rich Body Butter. This smells EXTREMELY similar to Righteous Butter, I would even go as far to say identical smelling which made me happy no end. It's consistency is thick, although I personally think Righteous Butter is that little bit more 'buttery' however the Skin Goddess is still an absolute pleasure to smoother all over your skin and at £2.99 for 300ml I'm not going to grumble. I also think the packaging is super duper cute and looks way more expensive then it actually is, so I asked myself that ultimate packaging test question...would I be happy to have this on show on my dresser? Yes, yes I would.

So, my final thoughts...
In all honesty, I bought this purely for the smell and didn't have much hope of it actually been a decent moisturiser, I mean how many body butters can you buy for £3 that are going to be beneficial for your skin. But not wanting to give up so easy I thought I'd give it a go after my shower today and it's actually pretty decent. I wouldn't say it left my skin moisturised all day but it did stop that tight skin feeling when I came out the shower and I was pleasantly surprised at how long the scent lingered on my skin, so I would say this particular product would be more suited for someone with more balanced skin. All in all, I don't think I'll reach for this daily as I think I need something a little bit more substantial with my skin been so dry but I will be using this before nights out or if I'm just in need of an extra bit pampering during the day.

Smell: 10/10
Product: 7/10
Packaging: 9/10

Well done ASDA, you've made me a happy girl and I'm excited to try more products in the Ella and Rose range, click here to have a look at other products for yourself :)

And don't forget

Hope everyone's well

I chose 'The Sweetest Thing' as a few followers have mentioned they don't have baths only showers and it's a brand new gift so I thought it would be nice to give away something that not a lot of people have seen in the stores yet.

The give away is open internationally
because I'm nice like that :)

7 (Wearable) Deadly Sins: Greed

So I'm back with Greed in the 7 (Wearable) Deadly Sins make up looks...did you all thought I forgotten about it. Anyway, I love this look. I went for goldy/shimmery make up as I figured it's the most expensive looking which links in with the Greed? I wear golds and browns on day to day basis but I just over exaggerated it a little bit more and also added falsies which have gold running through.

What I used:
Revlon Photoready Foundation: Nude
Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow: Endless Chocolate (outer crease and bottom lash line)
MUA Immaculate Pallette: Bright Gold (you will know which one, when you see it)
Collection 2000 Pigment: Paradise
Loreal Carbon Gloss Liquid Eyeliner: Black
Avon Liquid Eyeliner: Gold (inner corner, upper and bottom lash line)
Eyelure Girls Aloud Festival Lashes: Cheryl
Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzer: Blonde
Avon Lipgloss: Arabian Glow

What do you guy's think? Would you have picked the same colour theme for Greed?
Also, just to let you know I am buying a ickle give away pressie tomorrow, so eyes peeled for that. Will post the actual give away tomorrow evening, yipeeee :)

Backstreet's Back, yipeeee!

Hiya Sweetpea's...
Long time, no speak which is completely my bad. I'm not going to lie and say I have been extra busy, I have been busy, yes, but sometimes I just can't get into the blogging mode. Anyway, quick outfit of the night/concert to show you what I wore to see Backstreet Boys on Thursday.
Studded "leather" jacket: Prodigyred.com Polka dot dress: H&M Waist Belt: Boohoo.com Suspender Tights: Pretty Polly Shoe boots: soyoushoes.com

I know a few of you lot were saying you too enjoy a bit BSB now again so I thought I would throw in a few snaps. After the concert, me and my bff (haha) were lucky enough to met AJ and Howie which was amazing, and got our tickets signed. The lads were so nice and down to earth and I was so happy to find out today Kevin is rejoining the band and AJ is going to be a daddy. Can't wait till the next tour, I'm a massive geek, I know, teehee.

'New Kids on the Block' Faces.
'Backstreet Boys' Faces HAHAHA

Yes, I did feel I was about 10 years old again, but it was great. Who's your favourite Backstreet Boy? I'm a Brian fan whereas Gemma's all for Nick.

I'm just doing a bit editing on my next 7 deadly sin make up look, so that will be up soon too. I feel I owe you lovely ladies two posts in one night for been missing in action for so long.

Hope all is well.
